William (Peter) Adolphus Patterson

William (Peter) Adolphus Patterson quietly slipped into eternal rest on SundayJanuary 18, 2015, at his residence.  He was born November 28, 1954 in Lynchburg, VA.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolphus H. Patterson and Rosetta B. Hamlett, a step-father, Rudolph A. Hamlett, one brother, Larry L. Patterson, and his paternal and maternal grandparents. 

Peter accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age and became a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Coleman Falls, Virginia.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a wife of 36 years, Linda C. Patterson, two brothers, Michael Patterson of Louisville, KY, and Ronald Patterson of Lynchburg, VA; two sisters, Mona (Oscar) Lewis of Lynchburg, VA, and Ellen Mosley of Forest, VA; two great aunts, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday January 24, 2015 at the Franklin-Hutcherson Funeral Home Chapel located at 918 Fifth Street, and will  receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.   In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Lynchburg Daily Bread.  Franklin Hutcherson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  (434) 846-1337.
