Thomas Powell Obituary

Thomas Powell, 94, formerly of Lynchburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Carillon Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Lynchburg, VA., on April 6, 1926 he was a son of the late Thomas L. Powell and Carrie Bailey.

He was preceded in death by his wife Grace Powell, son Gordon Powell and daughter Michelle Powell. He was also preceded in death by his second wife Dorothy Bridgeforth.

He leaves to mourn two daughters; Dianna Callahan (Daniel) and Carrie Counts, step-daughter; Pamela Bridgeforth. Also left is one nephew, Alophonso Reid, and two nieces; Brenda Calloway and Jocelyn Hall (Elijah). Four grandchildren, eight grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
