George Edward Lee, Jr., of Lynchburg departed this life suddenly on February 3, 2023 at his residence. George was born on December 21, 1944 in Lynchburg, VA to the late George Edward Lee, Sr. and Marie Lee.

George was educated in the Lynchburg City Schools, and was a proud graduate of the Dunbar High School Class of 1963. Upon graduation George served a tour of duty in the US Army. When he returned home he was employed by the Lynchburg Foundry until his retirement In his spare time George was an avid football fan and loved cheering for the Dallas Cowboys.

George leaves to cherish his memory Aunt Jean Copeland of Lynchburg, his beloved dog Nikki, longtime devoted friends, Roy Watts, and Florence Robertson, and a host of other loving relatives and devoted friends. George will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
